Peterson JR, et al. - The objective of this study was to report long-term (>5 y) outcomes of plateau iris syndrome patients treated with argon laser peripheral iridoplasty (ALPI). The current study showed that the beneficial impacts of ALPI last for <4 years, with the majority of patients (77%) requiring surgery. In this patient population, phacoemulsification alone was an effective treatment for plateau iris.
