Long-term incidence and timing of reactivation in patients with type 3 neovascularization after initial treatment
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology Apr 04, 2019
Kim JH, et al. - A total of 179 eyes of 179 persons were analyzed to study the long-term incidence and timing of reactivation in subjects with type 3 neovascularization with dry macula, treated with 3 monthly anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injections. They noticed the first reactivation in 145 subjects at a mean of 6.6 ± 4.1 months after the third injection during a mean follow-up of 37.5 ± 18.8 months. They noted a higher incidence of early reactivation in females and patients with thicker choroid.
