Laparoscopic-guided transversus abdominis plane block vs trocar site local anesthetic infiltration in gynecologic laparoscopy
Gynecological Surgery Sep 20, 2018
El sharkwy IA, et al. - Given the significance of relieving postoperative pain and prompt resumption of physical activity for the patients and surgeons, researchers compared the efficacy of laparoscopic-guided transversus abdominis plane block to trocar site local anesthetic infiltration for pain control after gynecologic laparoscopy. Outcomes suggested that laparoscopic-guided transversus abdominis plane block was more efficacious in relieving both pain scores in the early postoperative period and the cumulative narcotics consumption vs trocar site local anesthetic infiltration in gynecologic laparoscopy.
