Knee flexion angle during graft fixation for medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction: A systematic review of outcomes and complications
Arthroscopy Apr 09, 2019
Patel NK, et al. - Via searching PubMed, EMBASE, and MEDLINE databases, researchers determined the impact of knee flexion angle during graft fixation on results and complications after medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction. In this study involving 556 patients, during MPFL graft fixation, the knee flexion angle ranges from 20° to 90°. According to this systematic review, graft fixation at low and high knee flexion angles during MPFL reconstruction exhibited excellent patient-reported results and overall low patellar redislocation rates, with no clear differences between the two groups based on the data currently available.
