Lai CH, Huang LC, Holby SN, et al. - Adult people who underwent first-time percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in Vanderbilt University Medical Center Synthetic Derivative (VUMC) from 2008 to 2016 (n = 11,289) and in a nationwide database of Taiwan (NHIRD) from 2005 to 2012 (n = 155,762) were enrolled in order to ascertain whether kidney stone history was related to adverse outcomes following PCI. Overall, n the VUMC and NHIRD, 294 and 12,286, stone formers undergoing PCI, respectively, were recognized. Kidney stone history was found out to be correlated with poorer cardiac outcomes following PCI. Thus, for persons with a history of kidney stone disease, enhancing secondary cardiac prevention approaches following PCI could be needed.
