Antoniadis A, et al. - Authors ascertained if direct anterior approach (DAA) was a credible option in severely obese regarding complication rates, clinical outcome, and component positioning. Compared to non-obese patients, obese patients had a higher complication and reoperation rate which were comparable to the rates of the standard, more extensive approaches presented in the literature. For obese patients, with excellent functional and radiographic outcomes, DAA could be a credible option.
