Endocrine Connections Dec 13, 2017
Zaharieva E, et al. - In this study, the interleukin level in patients with latent autoimmune diabetes of the adults (LADA) was compared to that in type 2 diabetes (T2D) subjects. In T2D and LADA, the interleukin-18 (IL-18) serum level was higher in comparison to the control subjects. However, there appeared no difference between the diabetic groups, even when they were body mass index-matched. They identified correlations with lipid, glycemic and inflammatory parameters in T2D only.
