Increased serum interleukin-32 levels in patients with Behcet's disease
International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases Feb 03, 2019
Ha YJ, et al. - Investigators assessed 50 cases to investigate the serum IL-32 levels in Behcet's disease (BD) and also to analyze its relationship with disease activity. They noticed elevated serum IL-32 levels in cases with active BD as compared to healthy controls. They found no difference in serum levels of IL-12p70, IL-17A, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8 between active and inactive groups of BD. They observed a weak positive correlation between serum IL-32 levels and Behcet's Disease Current Activity Form (BDCAF) scores. Higher IL-32 levels were noticed in BD subjects with recent arthralgia as compared to those without BD.
