Sasaki M, et al. - During this research, authors intended to explore the expression of senescence-associated cell cycle regulators in biliary atresia, which was the most common form of pediatric obliterative cholangiopathy. Findings brought to light the possible role of cellular senescence in the progression of bile duct loss in biliary atresia in a manner which appeared to be similar to that of adult cholangiopathies.
