Regan ME - The objective of this research was to establish a quality improvement intervention for primary care providers (PCPs) through the delivery of evidence-based guidelines at the point of care. Most PCPs were considering a chronic kidney disease (CKD) clinical decision support (CDS) tool for analyzing CKD patients. A CDS tool with an educational intervention could improve PCP knowledge and identification of CKD and early referral to nephrology.
