Noguchi S, et al. - In this study, the impact of the number of aspiration risk factors on mortality and recurrence in community-onset pneumonia was clarified. Among pneumonia patients, the number of aspiration risk factors was correlated with increases in both mortality and recurrence. Physicians ought to consider the presence of aspiration risks along with the number of aspiration risk factors in these patients, in clinical practice.
