Giaccone L, et al. - This study was performed to assess the impact of "new drugs" on the long-term follow-up of upfront tandem auto-allo transplant in multiple myeloma. In a comparison study, long term follow-up confirmed efficacy of allografting. Researchers recognized strong synergism between “new drugs” and graft-vs.-myeloma at relapse. They recommended exploring combination of “new drugs” and allografting in high-risk patients.
