Prats–Golczer VE, et al. – The physicians utilized the Facial Disability Index (FDI) and the Short–Form 36–Item (SF–36) questionnaires, in order to assess the impact of dysfunction of the facial nerve after superficial parotidectomy for pleomorphic adenoma of the superficial lobe. The FDI offered clinicians a tool which aids in patients counseling and helped clinicians to inform patients about the anticipated results of operation before superficial parotidectomy.
