Histological and immunohistochemical changes in facial skin treated with combined ablative and non‐ablative laser therapy
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Mar 05, 2021
Shanina NA, et al. - In this investigation involving 14 patients, aged 38 to 59 years, researchers sought to assess the macroscopic and histological and immunohistochemical changes in the skin of the face treated with a combined ablative (2940 nm) and non-ablative laser therapy (2940 and 1064 nm). Significant improvement by classification for age-related changes in all areas of the face has been achieved. Significant structural changes in the epidermis and dermis have also been confirmed with histology and immunohistochemistry. For facial rejuvenation, the dual-wavelength protocol has been found to yield excellent performance.
