High OX40 expression in recurrent ovarian carcinoma is indicative for response to repeated chemotherapy
BMC Cancer Apr 24, 2018
Ramser M, et al. - Given that OX40 signaling promotes survival and responds to various immune cells of the innate and adaptive immune system, researchers determined the indicative value of OX40 expression for recurrence and survival in ovarian carcinoma (OC). Recurrence within 6 months of the completion of platinum-based chemotherapy was defined as chemoresistance. High OX40 expression in OC was shown to have a correlation with chemosensitivity and improved recurrence free survival (RFS) in OC, hence, a second line therapy might be beneficial for these patients.
