Hemodynamic and gas exchange effects of inhaled iloprost in patients with COPD and pulmonary hypertension
International Journal of COPD Dec 09, 2017
Wang L, et al. - The efficacy, as well as the safety of iloprost inhalation, was examined in patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) associated with COPD (COPD-PH), mainly focusing on hemodynamic and gas exchange effects. In this patient population as well as in those with severe PH, improved pulmonary hemodynamics were reported as a result of treatment with iloprost, with no observed detrimental impacts on arterial oxygenation. These data indicated efficacy as well as good tolerability of iloprost, when used for short-term, in patients with COPD-PH.
