Williams JB, et al. - This study assessed the extent to which glycemic control is achieved following CABG surgery and its association with clinical outcomes. Findings reported that following high-risk CABG, glycemic control was achieved in only 15% of patients and was related to lower operative mortality and morbidity. Furthermore, the ability to achieve good glycemic control varied considerably across hospitals.
