Glaucoma after lens-sparing vitrectomy for advanced retinopathy of prematurity
Ophthalmology Dec 16, 2017
Nudleman E, et al. - The objective of this work was to illustrate the incidence of and factors associated with, glaucoma after lens-sparing vitrectomy (LSV) surgery in advanced retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). A higher incidence of glaucoma was reported in patients with more severe ROP, after lens-sparing vitrectomy. It was noted that the hazard of presenting with glaucoma notably increased, compared to those without lensectomy, if a patient required lensectomy as a result of the progression of ROP and/or presence of lens opacity.
