Genome-wide association studies of a broad spectrum of antisocial behavior
JAMA Psychiatry Oct 23, 2017
Tielbeek JJ, et al. - This paper strived to determine the single-nucleotide polymorphismÂbased heritability of antisocial behavior (ASB) and the novel genetic risk variants, genes, or biological pathways. The intent was to investigate for pleiotropic associations with other psychiatric traits and to re-analyze the candidate gene era data through the Broad Antisocial Behavior Consortium. The findings revealed that the Broad Antisocial Behavior Consortium comprised of the largest collaboration to date on the genetic architecture of ASB. It was found that ASB could be highly polygenic. It displayed potential heterogeneous genetic effects across sex.
