General practitionersâ perspectives on a proposed new model of service delivery for primary care management of knee osteoarthritis: A qualitative study
BMC Family Practice Sep 18, 2017
Egerton T, et al. - The aim of this qualitative study was to identify general practitioners (GPs) perspectives on potential barriers and facilitators to engagement with the proposed model to support knee osteoarthritis (OA) management. Findings revealed that GPs also recognised the potential benefits of the extra support for patients, and improved access for remote patients to clinicians with specialist knowledge. The results obtained from the study can be used to optimise implementation and engagement with a remotely-delivered Âcare support team model by GPs.
