Gastric pyloric gland adenoma: A multicenter clinicopathologic study of 67 cases

Histopathology Jan 05, 2018

Choi WT, et al. - This research was formulated in order to gauge the clinicopathologic and immunohistochemical features of gastric pyloric gland adenomas (PGAs). An increase was reported in the risk of high-grade dysplasia (HGD) with the size of PGA, tubulovillous architecture, and the presence of autoimmune gastritis (AIG) as well as mixed immunophenotype. PGAs could be treated conservatively as the overall local recurrence rate was less than 10%. However, complete excision was recommended if possible, especially if they were large or if they exhibited high-grade features.
