Kibirige D, et al. – The goal of this trial was to determine the frequency and predictors of suboptimal glycemic control, among adult diabetic patients in Uganda. A high prevalence was noted of the suboptimal glycemic control. It exhibited a link with metformin monotherapy and insulin therapy. Strategies targeting the improvement of glycemic control in diabetes care ought to be enhanced.
