Five-year cohort prospective study on single implants in the esthetic area restored using one-abutment/one-time prosthetic approach
Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research Aug 04, 2018
Canullo L, et al. - Over 5 years, authors gauged the bone response to “one-abutment onetime” (OA-OT) protocol in the restoration of implants inserted in the anterior maxilla. They enrolled all consecutive patients presenting with a hopeless tooth in the maxillary area between canines from January 2011 to January 2012. They also investigated the influence of soft tissue biotype in the bone remodeling. Obtaining stable bone levels was allowed by OA-OT approach. Among the two groups (thick TK vs thin TH), findings did not suggest any statistically significant differences in bone loss over the time.
