First-trimester placental growth factor for the prediction of preeclampsia in nulliparous women: The Great Obstetrical Syndromes Cohort Study
Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy Nov 17, 2018
Boutin A, et al. - Given the association of first-trimester maternal serum markers with preeclampsia (PE), researchers examined the predictive efficacy of first-trimester placental growth factor (PlGF) for PE in nulliparous women. In this prospective cohort study, they analyzed 4,652 nulliparous women with singleton pregnancy at 11–13 weeks for serum PlGF concentration. Outcomes revealed that preterm PE in nulliparous women can be predicted using first-trimester PlGF combined with maternal characteristics.
