Features of choroidal naevi on swept source optical coherence tomography angiography and structural reverse flow optical coherence tomography
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology Mar 14, 2018
Ali ZC, et al. - Herein, the experts described features of choroidal naevi as seen on swept source optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) and also on en face images derived from structural data from OCTA. In cases of choroidal naevi, OCTA presented characteristic changes in the choriocapillaris layers. Results demonstrated that the relationship of naevus substance appearing darker with elevating thickness could offer a novel prognostic clue. Accurate, detailed measurement of lateral dimensions could be allowed by the en face structural OCT which could be of value in the monitoring of suspicious naevi.
