Lupus Apr 15, 2021
Hamijoyo L, Putri M, Alita VR, et al. - Researchers conducted the study for evaluating serum FABP4 and other metabolic-related parameters in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) active and non-active episode. Fifty-four SLE patients in Hasan Sadikin General Hospital, Bandung, Indonesia in 2018–2019 were selected and serum samples were obtained in their active and non-active episode status. Disease activity was evaluated with the SLEDAI-2K (≥ 4 defined as an active; < 4 as non-active episode). FABP4 is associated with high DBP in non-active episodes and high triglyceride serum in active episodes.
