Fatigue following traumatic brain injury in children and adolescents: A longitudinal follow-up 6 to 12 months after injury

Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation May 16, 2018

Crichton A, et al. - Researchers scrutinized the impacts of time postinjury (6-12 months) and injury severity on fatigue after childhood traumatic brain injury (TBI) and compared fatigue 12 months postinjury against published control data. Participants were parents of children admitted to one of 3 participating hospitals with mild or moderate/severe TBI. This longitudinal prospective study concluded that particularly for those with moderate/severe TBI, fatigue remains significant at 12 months since the injury.
