Factors that affect ultrasound-determined labor progress in women undergoing induction of labor

American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Feb 09, 2019

Chaemsaithong P, et al. - Researchers sought the factors that affected labor progress, defined by the transperineal ultrasonographic parameters via performing a prospective longitudinal study in 315 Chinese women with singleton pregnancy undergoing labor induction at term between December 2016 and December 2017. Outcomes revealed that labor progress was affected by the parity status, methods of labor induction, the use of epidural anesthesia and obesity, which has been demonstrated objectively by serial transperineal ultrasonographic assessment of fetal head descent.
