Factors related to hypertensive phase after glaucoma drainage device implantation
Clinical Ophthalmology Aug 24, 2018
Pitukcheewanont O, et al. - Authors evaluated the factors related to hypertensive phase (HP) following glaucoma drainage device (GDD) implantation. Commonly, HP occurred following GDD implantation. For the development of HP, pre-operative VA was a risk factor, whereas the presence of underlying heart disease was a protective factor. Findings did not suggest any association between HP and surgical outcomes. No significant difference was seen between the HP and non-HP group; as seen in the survival analysis.
