Factors for predicting reversion from mild cognitive impairment to normal cognition: A meta-analysis
International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry Jun 14, 2019
Xue HP, et al. - In order to determine the factors which could aid in predicting reversion from mild cognitive impairment to normal cognition, researchers performed this meta-analysis of 17 studies including 6,829 participants identified from PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, Web of Science, EBSCO and OVID. They identified the overall reversion rate of 27.57%. Younger age, higher education level, no APOE ε4 allele, no hypertension, no stroke and higher Mini-Mental State Examination score, were identified as the positive predictive factors.
