Lee SH, et al. - This investigation was pursued to determine the long-term treatment response and factors influencing the treatment outcome in idiopathic nonspecific interstitial pneumonia (iNSIP) patients from a multi-center study in Korea. In iNSIP patients, improved lung function was observed as a result of treatment with corticosteroids and/or immunosuppressants, this improvement in lung function was more pronounced in sero-negative anti-nuclear antibody and shorter symptom duration patients. For iNSIP patients, even for those in an early disease stage, early treatment was recommended.
