Experience with intrauterine device insertion in never sexually active adolescents: A retrospective cohort study
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Oct 05, 2018
Kebodeaux CA, et al. - Researchers compared intrauterine device (IUD) insertion success rates between never sexually active and sexually active cohorts. They conducted a retrospective chart review of patients aged 10-20 years with attempted IUD insertion at a children’s hospital between October 2015 and September 2017. They found that, despite lower office success rates in never sexually active adolescents, IUD insertion was very successful overall.
