Ayhan Z, et al. – This study is performed to explore the macular perfusion changes in healthy smokers by utilizing optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). Smoking causes a major decrease in the blood flow index of the choriocapillary area by the acute impacts of nicotine and other chemical substances in cigarettes on peripheral vascular structure, as evaluated by OCTA.
