Evaluation of clinical outcomes following implantation of a sub-2-mm hydrophilic acrylic MICS intraocular lens
International Ophthalmology Apr 18, 2018
Dick HB, et al. - Researchers analyzed the clinical outcomes after sub-2-mm microincision cataract surgery (MICS) and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. Visual acuity (VA), intraocular pressure and biometry measurements were included in the preoperative assessment. They made follow-up visits 1 day, 1-2 weeks, 1-2 and 4-6 months after surgery. As per data, excellent visual outcomes were provided with new MICS IOL and it was safe and efficacious for the sub-2-mm procedure. Long-term centration, stability and a low rate of posterior capsular opacification development was demonstrated by the MICS IOL.
