Episodic visual snow associated with migraine attacks

Hodak J, et al. - In this study, for the first time, researchers described patients with an episodic form of visual snow (VS), strictly co-occurring with migraine attacks. Continuous VS, ie, tiny flickering dots in the entire visual field resembling the view of a badly tuned analog television (Figure), plus additional visual symptoms, such as photophobia and palinopsia, define visual snow syndrome. Comorbidity related to migraine and migraine aura is high.
