Infectious Diseases and Therapy Oct 13, 2017
Vogt PM, et al. - Researchers in this study determined the efficacy of conventional and liposomal povidoneÂiodine in infected mesh skin grafts. Findings suggested a strong role of povidoneÂiodine ointment in managing infected wounds, particularly when a high concentration of povidoneÂiodine could be warranted, while liposomal povidoneÂiodine hydrogel (PVPÂILH, Repithel; RepiGel) indicated similar beneficial results on markers of wound healing quality in larger infected wounds.
