Efficacy of conventional and liposomal povidone–iodine in infected mesh skin grafts: An exploratory study

Vogt PM, et al. - Researchers in this study determined the efficacy of conventional and liposomal povidone–iodine in infected mesh skin grafts. Findings suggested a strong role of povidone–iodine ointment in managing infected wounds, particularly when a high concentration of povidone–iodine could be warranted, while liposomal povidone–iodine hydrogel (PVP–ILH, Repithel; RepiGel) indicated similar beneficial results on markers of wound healing quality in larger infected wounds.
