Efficacy and safety of homologous autoinoculation in treatment of multiple recalcitrant warts of different types
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Jun 25, 2021
Abdelmonaem NA, Shaheen MA, Foad TMM, et al. - Researchers conducted this prospective single-armed clinical study to assess the safety and effectiveness of autoinoculation in the treatment of multiple recalcitrant warts of different types in relation to patient's age, gender, type, number, size, and duration of warts. One autoinoculation session was used to treat 200 patients with multiple recalcitrant warts of various types. Treatment response and wart duration had a negative correlation. Autoinoculation is an effective treatment for multiple recalcitrant warts, regardless of type, number, or size, with few complications and no recurrence. The longer a wart persists, the less effective the treatment will be.
