Effects of treatment for psoriasis on circulating levels of leptin, adiponectin and resistin: A systematic review and meta-analysis
British Journal of Dermatology Jun 23, 2018
Kyriakou A, et al. - Authors performed a systematic review of the literature for studies that gauged the possible differences in circulating levels of leptin, adiponectin or resistin in patients with psoriasis before and after any treatment intervention. They also meta-analysed the best evidence available. Experts could not gather an evidence suggesting that treatment for psoriasis modifies leptin and adiponectin concentrations. Nonetheless, resistin concentrations were seen to be reduced with the treatment intervention, a finding that is expected to be of clinical importance.
