Effects of pre-operative knee laxity on clinical outcomes after partial anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
The Knee Apr 25, 2018
Li B, et al. - Authors assessed the impacts of preoperative knee laxity on clinical outcomes after partial anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction for partial ACL rupture. They noted that the mechanical strength of the remnant ligament had a significant influence on the therapeutic effects of partial reconstruction in the patients with partial ACL rupture. For the affected knee joint, the function and stability examinations were significantly improved in both groups following partial ACL reconstruction as compared with preoperative ones. Anterior instability in the affected knee following partial reconstruction was still seen in the patients with kneelax arthrometer >5 mm and/or pivot shift test ≥II grade.
