Caries Research Mar 07, 2018
Muller-Bolla M, et al. - The efficacy of 2 types of resin-based sealants, with and without fluoride, their retention rates, and the caries risk factors related to their outcomes were assessed in this trial. The prevention of new International Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS) 3–6 lesions or progression of noncavitated carious lesions in children at high individual caries risk (ICR) was allowed by the sealants. Regardless of whether it contained fluoride or not, the impact of the sealant was similar.
