del Corral T, et al. - This study examined the efficacy of a home-based active video game (AVG) programme in children and adolescents with cystic fibrosis (CF). Findings demonstrated that in this patient population, an effective short-term improvement in exercise capacity, muscular strength and quality of life can be achieved via a home-based programme using AVGs. Furthermore, it was noted that the effects of training on muscle performance and quality of life were sustained over 12 months.
