Effectiveness and safety of polidocanol for the treatment of hemangiomas and vascular malformations: A meta-analysis
Dermatologic Therapy | Nov 02, 2017
Gao Z, et al. - A comparative appraisal was conducted on the efficacy and safety of polidocanol with other conventional therapies in the treatment of hemangiomas (HMs) and vascular malformations (VMs). It was deduced that polidocanol was at least as effective as other conventional therapies on HMs and VMs (especially venous malformations), the former being much safer. The combination of this therapy with other treatments could present excellent results. Hence, strong evidence was yielded in support of the use of polidocanol for HMs and VMs.
