Effect of the EVO+ Visian phakic implantable collamer lens on visual performance, quality of vision and life: Objective and subjective outcomes after EVO+ implantation
American Journal of Ophthalmology Feb 14, 2021
Martínez-Plaza E, López-Miguel A, López-de la Rosa A, et al. - In this prospective interventional case series, researchers sought to evaluate the impact of the EVO+ (V5) Visian implantable collamer lens implantation on mesopic visual performance, quality of vision (QoV) and quality of life (QoL). Thirty-six candidates (36 eyes) who underwent EVO+ implantation for myopia were assessed preoperatively and at postoperative visits 1 week, and 1, 3 and 6 months. During up to 6 months of follow-up, EVO+ implantation provides good mesopic visual performance, QoV and QoL. During the first postoperative week, some activities conducted under mesopic conditions with glare sources may be affected. Six months after surgery, ring-shaped dysphotopsia is negligibly bothersome.
