Effect of sandblasting, etching and resin bonding on the flexural strength/bonding of novel glass-ceramics
Dental Materials Aug 06, 2018
Uwalaka CO, et al. - Experts sought to process the novel leucite glass-ceramics and test the impacts of surface treatment and resin bonding on the biaxial flexural strength (BFS) and shear bond strength (SBS). Flaw size was reduced by novel leucite glass-ceramics and by resin bonding, fine microstructures produced enhanced BFS and SBS. Findings suggested a probable usefulness of these properties for the fabrication of minimally invasive aesthetic and fracture resistant restorations.
