Effect of oral premedication on the anaesthetic efficacy of inferior alveolar nerve block in patients with irreversible pulpitis: A systematic review and network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Pulikkotil SJ, et al. - Researchers carried out this systematic review and network meta-analysis (NMA) to identify the most effective oral premedication for anaesthetic success of inferior alveolar nerve blocks (IANB) among the cases of irreversible pulpitis. Results suggested that the anaesthetic success was significantly increased by the oral premedication with dexamethasone, NSAIDs or tramadol.
