Effect of oral capsule–vs colonoscopy-delivered fecal microbiota transplantation on recurrent Clostridium difficile infection: A randomized clinical trial
JAMA Dec 04, 2017
Kao D, et al. - The authors investigated if fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) by oral capsule was noninferior to colonoscopy delivery in efficacy, in preventing recurrent Clostridium difficile infection (RCDI). The findings revealed that FMT via oral capsules was not inferior to delivery by colonoscopy for preventing recurrent infection over 12 weeks, among adults with RCDI. It was observed that treatment with oral capsules could be an effective approach for treating RCDI.
