Iwasaki M, et al. - Authors assessed the longitudinal relationship of combined healthy lifestyle factors with incidence or progression of periodontitis and tooth loss in older adults. The risk of incidence or progression of periodontitis and tooth loss was significantly lowered in older adults with simultaneous adherence to multiple healthy lifestyle factors. After 6 years, periodontitis incidence or progression was exhibited in 19.0% of the teeth and 8.2% were lost.
