Effect of different liners on fracture resistance of premolars restored with conventional and short fiber-reinforced composite resins
Journal of Prosthodontics Apr 19, 2018
Shafiei F, et al. - Experts ascertained if applying 4 different liners under short fiber-reinforced composite (SFRC), everX Posterior, vs conventional composite resin, Z250, affected their strengthening property in premolar mesio-occluso-distal (MOD) cavities. Results demonstrated that compared to conventional composite resins the 4 liners could be used without interfering with the higher efficacy of SFRC to improve the fracture strength of premolar MOD cavities. For both composite resins, application of SARC and SAFL liners led to a higher number of restorable fractures.
