Giannella M, et al. - This study was conducted to determine the impact of high-dose (HD) carbapenem-based combination therapy on clinical outcome in patients with monomicrobial carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CR-KP) bloodstream-infection (BSI). Patients receiving combination therapy for CR-KP BSI indicated better outcome with the use of HD carbapenem also in presence of high level of carbapenem resistance.
