Early and late retinal pigment epithelium tears after antiâvascular endothelial growth factor therapy for neovascular age-related macular degeneration
Ophthalmology Oct 13, 2017
Invernizzi A, et al. - This trial determined when the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) tears occurred along with their related therapeutic patterns and long-term visual outcomes, in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) during antiÂvascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment. On the basis of their occurrence, the retinal pigment epithelium tears acted differently. A greater tie-up could be noticed in the long-term visual outcomes in eyes affected by RPE tearing, to the patient's response to therapy than to the tear itself.
